When there’s not much left in the transfer kitty, loan players can become extremely valuable to your team. Especially in your first FM23 season when transfer budgets are typically lower. That’s why this list gives you the 10 best players to loan in FM23!

This does not include the 10 best players to loan due to their current ability, it includes the best value for money loan signings. No matter what save you’re doing in FM23, there is a player on this list that you will likely be able to sign on loan. We will also tell you which teams would suit each loan player.

It is also important to note that these are the wages/fees we were given at the very start of the FM23 save (4th July 2022). If a player is loan listed and hasn’t found a club towards the end of August, you may be able to pick them up without a loan fee.

10. Stan Mills – Best Non League Loan Signing in FM23

There’s a lot of decent youngsters available to loan for Non League teams looking to get promoted into the Football League. However, Stan Mills is regarded as a leading Vanarama National League player, and can be signed on loan without paying any loan fees or wages. With such small budgets for most teams in the National League apart from Wrexham, this would be a fantastic deal, allowing you to spend money elsewhere.

Mill’s best attributes are 13 technique, 14 work rate, and 16 determination. He can competently play in 4 different positions, which is vital for lower league football. You only need to pay 20% of Zidane Iqbal’s loan fees, which is just £400 per week.

By paying £12k per week of his wages, you can bring Julio Enciso to your team in FM23.

To get Adli on loan, you will need to pay a loan fee of £110k per month and also cover 80% of his £17k salary. However, AC Milan also want an optional future fee included in the loan deal, which is £7.25 million.

This is what makes Adli one of the best loan signings FM23 has to offer because you can try him out for a year, and if he impresses, you can sign him for a really cheap fee.

Similar to Yacine Adli, loaning Nino would cost a loan fee of £115k per month, and you would need to cover all of his wages. This makes Nino one of the best cheap strikers in FM23. Villareal also want to include an optional future fee of £14.5 million.

He has a loan fee of £115k, and you’ll need to pay 80% of his wages. There is also an optional future fee of £16.25 million in the loan deal, which is a bargain considering Thiaw’s potential ability.
