10 Best LW Wonderkids in FM26

Who doesn’t love signing wonderkids? It’s one of my favourite parts of playing FM! To help you with the new release of the game, we’ve simulated 10 seasons into the future to find the best FM26 left winger wonderkids. We’ve ranked them from 10 to 1, but they’re all really good!

We’ve also written an article on the best wonderkid strikers to sign in FM26 so make sure to check that out too.

What’s a Wonderkid Left Winger in FM26?

We’ve looked at the best wonderkid wingers who combine strong technical, physical, and mental attributeย  attributes, such as dribbling, crossing, pace, technique, and flair. However it’s important to remember that in Football Manager potential is mostly dynamic. This means that these players develop better, worse, or the same in your save.

10. Antonio Nusa

Antonio Nusa in FM26

Antonio Nusa has been a well known wonderkid left winger in Football Manager in the last few editions of the game. He broke out in the Belgian Pro League, before getting a move to RB Leipzig last season.

He’s what I would describe as a very raw but talented winger. He has excellent pace, dribbling, and flair, but struggles when it comes to being effective in the final third.

Nusa is willing to move to certain clubs in the first transfer window, but he’ll set you back ยฃ44 million!

In his prime, Nusa is much better at making the right decision in the final third. His physical attributes have also improved a lot, but his finishing is only 9.

Nusa is a great FM26 wonderkid LW for those who want a fast creative wide player who can beat a man and is exciting on the ball.

9. Said El Mala

Said El Mala in FM26

El Mala is a young German left winger with fantastic dribbling and flair. At 6ft 2, he’s a physical winger who can glide past defenders with great agility and power.

You may be able to sign El Mala in the first transfer window, but he’ll cost you ยฃ21 million. You can also get him on loan because he’s lon listed.

In our FM26 simulation, El Mala signed for Atletico Madrid and became a star for their team! His physical and mental attributes are very well rounded, With 16 dribbling, 18 flair, and the trait to beat his opponent, he can leave full backs on toast.

His physical attributes are really good, but his acceleration could be a little bit higher to give him that extra burst of pace when driving into space.

8. Mika Godts

Mika Godts in FM26

Godts is a versatile wonderkid left winger in FM26 who is well rounded in season one. He likes to cut in on his right foot and put in a cross or shoot. His left foot is reasonable so he can still go down the byline, but he’s definitely better on his right foot.

If you want to sign one of the best FM26 LWs in the first transfer window, he’ll cost you ยฃ30.5 million. And he also wants to at least triple his wages!

You can see how money hungry Godts is. He’s on ยฃ450k per week at Napoli! However, he has become a top class player.

He’s become an excellent crosser of the ball, and has the vision and technique to consistently create chances for his teammates. Just make sure to sign him before his wage demands become too ridiculous.

7. Jamie Gittens

Jamie Gittens in FM26

After coming through the Manchester City youth academy, Gittens moved to Borussia Dortmund for first team football. In the 24/25 season, he had a real breakthrough year, getting 17 goal contributions in all competitions. This made Chelsea bring him back to England this summer.

Gittens is a wonderkid left winger in FM26 with excellent dribbling, pace, and flair. However, he’s still raw in terms of his final product. If he can improve in the final third, then he’ll become a superstar.

Ten seasons into our FM26 simulation you can see that Gittens has improved a lot in terms of his mental attributes. His composure, decisions, and vision, are all much better which help him be more effective closer to goal. Gittens’ crossing has also significantly increased which makes him a real threat when cutting inside or delivering from the byline.

Gittens is playing for a top club, so he’s likely going to be a very expensive wonderkid LW to buy!

6. Matias Fernandez-Pardo

Matias Fernandez-Pardo in FM26

Fernandez-Pardo is a pacey and tricky winger with loads of potential. However, his left foot is really weak, so he’s best when cutting inside from the left wing. He also has 15 finishing, so he’s great at this!

Fernandez-Pardo is one of the best FM26 wonderkid left wingers who you can sign in the first transfer window. He’s available for ยฃ20 million, which is great value considering his potential. However, he’s wanted by other clubs, so you’ll need to move fast.

Fernandez-Pardo has the potential to develop into a fantastic left winger in FM26. He’s seen some brilliant growth in his mental attributes. His composure has increased from 10 to 14, decisions from 12 to 15, and off the ball from 11 to 15.

If you decide to sign this LW wonderkid in your FM26 save, I would strongly recommend putting him through training to improve his weaker foot. If his left foot was better, he would be more unpredictable for defenders because he could also go down the left wing and put crosses in.

5. Mathys Tel

Mathys Tel in FM26

Tel will be known to lots of FM players over the last few years. After a move to Bayern Munich game with limited game time, Tel joined Spurs on loan in January 2025, making the move permanent this Summer.

His preferred position is a left winger, but he can also play as a striker. This versatility could come in really handy if you have different in possession and out of possession formations.

Tel is available on loan in season one, and you can loan him with an option to buy for ยฃ65 million.

In FM26 Tel becomes a brilliant left winger. His composure, crossing, and decision making have all improved loads, turning him into a complete inside forward who can score and create with equal confidence.

If you like to use wingers who are inside forwards and like to shoot more than cross, you should definitely consider signing Tel.

4. Kenan Yildiz

Kenan Yildiz in FM26

Yildiz is one of the best FM26 LW wonderkids in the first season. He’s already good enough to start for most clubs in the world. The right footed winger isn’t rapid, but technically he’s better than most wingers.

You won’t be able to sign him in season one, but add him to your shortlist for when he becomes available.

Kenan Yildiz in 2035

Kenan Yildiz in 2035

In our FM26 simulation, no one was able to take Yildiz from Juventus. He’s improved across the board into a world class winger who can dribble, cross, and finish, to a really high standard.

The reason Yildiz isn’t higher on this list of the best FM26 LW wonderkids because of his physical attributes. They’re good, but he’s not a rapid winger which is what a lot of FM players desire.

Yildiz can also play centrally, where he’s also really effective.

3. Jay Robinson

Jay Robinson in FM26

Jay Robinson is an exciting English wonderkid winger who’s coming through the Southampton youth academy. The Saints have produced some fantastic players over the years, including Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Gareth Bale.

Robinson can be signed in season one for ยฃ15.5 million, which is a brilliant price for a young English talent with bags of potential.

Robinson moved to Manchester United and became the star of the team in our simulation! His mental attributes are extremely well rounded, with them all being 12 or higher except from aggression. This wonderkid left winger also likes to try tricks, and likes to beat his opponents.

If you’re managing a Premier League team, Robinson if the wonderkid LW to sign.

2. Assane Diao

Assane Diao in FM26

Diao is a fantastic African wonderkid left winger with a brilliant eye for goal. His 15 finishing, composure, and 16 off the ball make him a real inside forward threat who loves to cut inside and find the net. He can cut inside off the left wing and shoot across goal with precision and power.

He’s quick, tall, and strong physically, so heโ€™s hard to knock off the ball and can dominate defenders in one-on-one duels.

Diao is an amazing goalscoring winger in his prime. In our simulation, he scored 64 goals in 107 games for Senegal. His physical attributes are excellent, allowing him to dominate full backs who lack physical strength or positioning.

This wonderkid left winger can play on the right, and down the middle too, making him one of the most flexible attacking options in FM26.

1. Rio Ngumoha – Best FM26 Wonderkid Left Winger

Rio Ngumoha in FM26

Rio Ngumoha is definitely the best wonderkid left winger in FM26. He has some absolutely ridiculous attributes for a 16 year old, including 17 agility, 16 first touch, and 18 dribbling. If you’re doing a Liverpool save, you have to have him in the first team squad and give him minutes off the bench and the occasional start in cup games.

Ten seasons into your save, Rio is only just coming into his prime! There has been someone amazing growth, such as anticipation from 11 to 15, decisions from 10 to 16, and agility from 17 to 20.

He’s worth over ยฃ200 million for Liverpool in our FM26 simulation, so you’ll need to save up if you want to sign him.

Conclusion

There are some really exciting left winger wonderkids in FM26 that you can develop into superstars. If you’re desperate for a left winger in the first transfer window, then I’d have to recommend Jay Robinson because his potential is so good and he’s really cheap.

However, the best FM26 LW wonderkid has to be Rio Ngumoha. He has the perfect mix of pace, dribbling, crossing, and flair to become one of the best players in the world.
